An Introduction to Duo Security

Enrollment with Duo Security

Steps:

1. Go to your GMail

2. Select the email from "Duo Security" with the subject line "Duo Security Enrollment - City of Evanston"

3. Select the enrollment link

4. Select "Start Setup"

5. Select the device you will be using

• We recommend "Mobile Phone"
  

6. Type in your phone number and Select the box to confirm it is the correct phone number

7. Select "Continue"

8. Select what type of phone you have

9. Select "Continue"

10. Download the Duo Mobile app and Select "I Have a Duo Mobile Installed" and Move onto the next part of this article

Configure Duo Mobile App on your Smart Phone

Steps:

1. Download the Duo Mobile App off the Google Play Store or the Apple iPhone Store 

2. Open the app and Select the "+" on the top right of your screen

3. Scan the QR code on your computer

4. Select "Next" when asked to name your account

5. Select "Done" on your keyboard

6. Your account is now linked. Move back to your computer

7. The QR code on your computer will now show a green check mark

8. Select "Continue"

9. Select the method you would like to use for multifactor authentication

10. Select "Finish Enrollment"

11. Enrollment has been completed successfully
